Usage of Material in articles. Obviously we can’t all reinvent the wheel. So far I have had not trouble using material and identifying the source. Lately I’ve been looking on SlideShare a lot for an upcoming presentation. So slide decks cannot be saved–but it’s a piece of cake to copy an image.

I take great care in my articles to credit sources of information. I have no desire to appropriate someone else’s work.
Yet we are a collaborative society. I’m just trying to understand the boundary.
I am not sure about what exact laws there are, but there is always your reputation in the community if someone finds out “unwritten law” .. as of slideshare.. you can download about 90% of the presentations in PPTX format 🙂
