If you are writing an app for Office 365, I’d love to hear how you are finding it? What are your overall impressions of the App Model? Are you finding that it can cater for most situations and was it easy to learn it?
I am looking at this as well. A future SPChat would be good to see the pros and cons. for on Prem as the app model can be used here. For example, I think there is a restriction for remote event receivers as per the PnP samples documentation “The solution is a provider-hosted app (remote event receivers are not supported with SharePoint-hosted apps)”.  In which case what are we supposed to use?

Yes I am trying out things. Its exciting and I am working on O365 SP Online. Further I wrote an article on SharePoint Pro Magazine. I would suggest a small chat over the community members would expand their knowledge.Â

We are using the SharePoint / Provider hosted apps for the different site type provisioning, remote event receivers and recently started working on the apps to get the reports from a site. Â It is easy to use and there are lots of help available in the internet. We can do most of the stuffs based on the interface / functionality available on the CSOM / REST apis.
