I’m curious to know what industry you work in, what version of SharePoint you are using, and how many users are in your network?
I work in higher education. Our internet is on SP 2010 and we will be launching our Intranet in August using SP 2013. We have 38,000 faculty, staff and students.
I work at ISV called Collaboris who specialise in SharePoint products. We sell products to use on top of SharePoint (such as DocRead). We use all versions of SharePoint 2007, 2010 and 2013. As you can imagine the testing is fun 😉
I am a consultant, so I still touch anything from the WSS 3.0 to SharePoint 2013 :). A lot of stuff to know and a lot of homework, however I can’t stay at the same place too much time, gets boring. I like changing environments.
For fun, what architecture do you plan for 38K users, will go you go traditional or stretch farm?
