I get asked a lot of time by clients to create a TO DO list of what they need to do to maintain their SharePoint Environment.Â
For Example,
Every 30 days, check out DB Sizes if they had to autogrow or not.Â
Every 7 days, check out how much space left you have on disks. (Both SQL and SharePoint)
etc..
What’s on your list?
At least once a week I
Check crawls are running correctly
Disk Space
Log into each server on the farm and review event logs
Review ULS logs
Verify Backups
Verify Blob Clean up jobs are running
Check Health Reports
Hit top level sites and do a few test searches
Once a month I
Check Frag Indexes
Run a Blob Clean up report
Reboot Farm
