What motivated you to work with SharePoint as a developer, end user, architect, consultant, manager, business owner or else.
10 years ago I saw that SharePoints’ combination of tasks, documents and security could be the perfect combination to manage our finance projects. It has improved ever since. And I still like it, although it is a Love-hate relation.
So , what is your motivation to be into SharePoint?
Basically I need a job and like Microsoft Technologies. Â If you really want to know:Â http://goo.gl/LsWAE
But I love it now.
Started playing with SharePoint Portal Server 2001 adn saw the potential and implemented it at the company I was working for. Eventially began bulding customizations for it. Over the years have more and more dev/consultancy on the product as its grown.
I was given a disc called Tahoe and asked if I could evaluate it.
I thought wow this is cool and so did my clients.
Every time I look at SP I still think wow this is cool!
My motivation is seeing it evolve into what it should have been 5 years ago and assisting my customers in understanding how it can make their lives easier
Great question Andre! I fell into to it. I was an experienced ASP.Net developer but circumstance and a consultancy threw me into an SP2007 beta project. However, the main reason I stated with it (after that first project) as I knew back then it was going to be a game changer. It was the right horse to back.
The fact that it has such a cool band of followers is a massive bonus. Without everyone helping I am sure we’d be much more in the dark.Â
