It’s been at least 6 months since we told each other what we are doing with SharePoint, so I thought it’d be kinda nice to get an update! Can you spend a moment to share what you are doing with SharePoint ?
Think about :
- Version of SharePoint
- Hardware / Platform
- Type of Site (Collaboration, Internet facing, doc management etc)
- Company (if you are allowed)
- Industry
- Number of users
- Location
- Is it going well 😉
I will go first ….
I am working on two projects (from the UK) :
Project Number 1 : DocRead and DocSurvey for SharePoint
These are two apps my company develop that allow you to send out documents in order to get users to read and agree them. DocSurvey allows you to add an (optional) quiz in to the process to ensure that they also understood them. We are currently working on the next version for both SP2010 and SP2013.
It could be going better, but “Number 2” is taking up way too much of my time.
Project Number 2 : SP24 Site (SharePoint 2013 Foundation)
This is an on-line, free, 24 hour, SharePoint conference that I am very heavily involved in developing. It’s going to be run on a SharePoint platform and myself and Stefan Bauer are responsible for building the session infrastructure that will allow you to :
- Browse and book onto the sessions
- View your sessions in a sessions browser
- View each session in a “Virtual Session” room
- Do Session Feedback forms for the speakers
- plus lots of other things that we haven’t thought of yet.
BTW – we are now at nearly 2000 people registered, so book on quickly if you want to come.
