We are looking for an Intranet template that gives us mobile, news, content aggregation from the Department sites amongst other stuff!
If you built your own, can you let me know how you went about it?
Alternatively, if you bought one in, how long did it take, were your users happy and was it a success?
Hi Shaun, There are many considerations when choosing a template. Are you going to run it on Office 365 or on premise? How does it fit into O365 user experience? Services? Check out some educational webinars here: http://www.spmarketplace.com/webinars.html Also you can see a template used in over 1000 organizations worldwide here: http://www.spmarketplace.com.
Well IMO the point of a template really is to give you a starting point which is closest to your business need.
We used a publishing portal simply because we were looking to have aggregated content from different site collections.
Admission: Our biggest challenge was coming up with a unified Top Menu for all Site Collections. (about 100+ site Collections)
