Go on let’s have em, what laptops are you all running and do you recommend for SP 2013 development ? The MBP a contender (surely not)!… Is anyone surviving on 16gb ?

It’s a W520 not W530 btw so processor is not same generation. Furthermore, he did not talk about the quality of the SSD’s he had inside , as well as he made the error of installing Windows 8.1 on the W520 which is not supported and might include performance issues with SSD Drivers.
