Hello, i’m an editor on our company intranet and need quick help.
Currently, our intranet home page has three text blocks for showing (short) news of full news pages and also a text block on the right side with three links to press release links.
But these are all static, which means to keep home page up to date,
i have to edit every single text block manually:
1. Move news (cut & paste) from text block 2 to text block 3
2. Move news from text block 1 to textblock 2
3. Add new news in textblock 1
So i really need plugins, which will make our news feed more dynamic!! Do you know any?
Best, if it behaves like its with blog article pages in wordpress, where i can
– add tons of article pages and archive them,
– set up appearance of home page like show only the latest three pages/links,
– and add thumbnails and link to full article page
and finally edit articles in a WYSIWYG-Editor and set up expiration dates etc.

Well, quite complex question with no ultimate answer.
I’d recommend to go with publishing pages plus search/CQWP or XsltListViewWerPart, depending on the target version of SharePoint you have. With 2013 it might be a good choice to go with Search web parts either.
