The term “Cloud” is just something invented by the marketing teams in the big tech companies. The “idea” has been around since the 90’s (eg. Application Service Providers, ISP’s). Why do think there’s the big push now? What conditions are dictating that now is the time to be using it? Are we looking at better software, technology or are we looking at just another trend again?
Yes Mark you are right and Its been there for a long time. I feel that the recent technology changes around the mobile technology (ability to access data anywhere and anytime) is one of the factor and the cloud service providers like Microsoft, Google , Amazon has made so much of investment in those technology, so that from the normal person to big corporate companies can use the Cloud service easily. i.e It is easy to setup a cloud service by a click of a button.
