Win-an-eBook Wednesdays is a small three day contest that we hold every week. The Prize? An O’reilly eBook for your choice! Furthermore, if you win, you also get the chance to ask the community whatever question you want and be the judge for next week’s contest!
The only thing you have to do to enter is answer the following question: If you could bring a Feature into the next SharePoint, what would it be?
This week’s judge is battlesmith, winner of last week’s contest!
You have until May 3rd (10pm GMT) to answer this question!
I would like to see improvement in RBS in Document Management, out of the box support of remote RBS provider and Backup/Restore of larger databases.
I am really interested in their Icenium product. We are looking to take DocRead mobile soon’ish and like the idea of writing once and letting their responsive design present it in the correct way…
They also have connectors for SP coming out soon – I wouldn’t be suprised if we don’t see a full blown set of mobile controls for SharePoint by next year!
InfoPath is dead. While I won’t say “don’t use InfoPath” (I certainly will continue to do so), there will be no further major improvements to the product we know as “InfoPath”. InfoPath will continue to be around until a replacement is created, and hopefully a migration path is available, but I do not expect to see any major improvements moving forward.
I do not think “use 3rd party forms” is a good answer. Microsoft needs to step up and create a replacement.
