Hey all,
Plenty of people have been saying to use specific SQL collation settings and noting http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2008668. This only mentioned it applied to MOSS/WSS3, so I asked MS about it.
I got another link to an article saying it’s the same setting in 2013, but the article mentioned it was for adding a server to an existing farm only. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262781.aspx So I asked again, just to be sure.
MS confirmed that the setting for 2013 remains the same, whether new farm or adding to existing farm. They also said they would see about changing the version the setting applies to in the original KB article, at my request. Thought you all might want to know it’s been confirmed officially. I didn’t find it anywhere else…
